Quick Tip – Writing to a title

Try this. Start a songwriters group (kinda like a book group), where you meet regularly, say, once a month. Each month a song title is selected and all members are invited to write a song to that title. At the next meeting, members sing/play their creations for each other.

Somehow the deadline and the peer pressure seem to spur creativity and support the discipline needed to finish on time. And you’ll be surprised how completely different the songs are, despite sharing the same title.
